Dr. Bosun Tijani, the minister of communications, innovation, and digital economy, announced that the Federal Government has entered a N1 billion agreement with IHS Towers, a telecommunications company, to establish educational communities across Nigeria as part of the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) initiative.

Tijani disclosed that the N1 billion funding from IHS Towers includes not only financial backing but also a commitment to cover the salaries of 37 dedicated managers for each learning community at various locations over the next three years. According to him, the 3MTT initiative plays a pivotal role in the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope agenda. The program is designed to create a pool of technical talent in alignment with President Bola Tinubu's vision of generating two million digital jobs by 2025.

The ministry will select individuals who have expressed interest in gaining specific skills and will bear the costs associated with their training.

These technical skills encompass Software Development, UI/UX Design, Data Analysis and Visualization, Quality Assurance, Product Management, Data Science, Animation, AI/Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Game Development, Cloud Computing, and DevOps.
