Telecom Egypt announced its 2021 guidance, in line with three main KPIs: Mid-to-high single digit revenue growth, EBITDA margin in the early thirties and in-service CapEx-to-sales ratio in the late twenties, excluding spectrum.

CSG® announced that its long-standing partnership with Airtel Africa has been extended. Leading pan-African telecoms group, Liquid Telecom, is activating 82 km of fibre in a cross-border network into Botswana. This implementation gives more people in Botswana access to Liquid Telecom’s footprint of more than 73,000km of Pan African fibre - and increased access to the global digital economy.

Neural Technologies, a leading provider of Revenue Protection and Digital Transformation solutions, has been awarded a deal by Orange Morocco to deliver its Revenue Assurance and Fraud Management solution. The new partnership will help Orange Morocco to detect and prevent fraud in the Africa and Middle Eastern markets to its 22 million customers.

At the AfricaTech Festival international trade fair, Orange and its subsidiaries announced the commissioning and commercial launch of Djoliba, the first pan-African backbone. This infrastructure is based on a terrestrial fibre optic network, coupled with undersea cables, offering secure connectivity abroad from West Africa. This investment aims to support the digital ecosystem and meets the growing needs for connectivity in the region.

MTN announced that it has completed a comprehensive review of the Group strategy with a focus on accelerating growth, deleveraging the holding company debt and unlocking value. The revised strategy will be presented in more detail following the release of MTN’s 2020 full-year results in March 2021.

Telecom Egypt announced its Q3 2020 results ending 30 September 2020. According to their report, the telco showed an exceptional operational growth coupled with strong operating cash flow. Its consolidated revenue increased 18% YoY, landing at EGP 22.3bn. The growth is mainly driven by a 31% YoY hike in retail revenue boosted by strong data growth. Its customer base remains on an uptrend across the board with fixed voice and broadband growing 9% and 16% YoY, respectively, and mobile customers growing 55% YoY, reaching 7.1mn.
