Ericsson beats expectations in Q4

Huawei Marine completes its second upgrade of WACS
Huawei Marine announced completion of the West Africa Cable System (WACS) Upgrade II. The project was signed in February 2018 and successfully put into commercial use in October of the same year. The upgrade realized 32*100G wavelengths configured on the longest optically amplified single fiber span stretching 11500km from South Africa to Portugal.
MARS cable lands on Rodrigues Island and links it to the Mauritius
Huawei Marine and PCCW Global announced that the submarine cable used in the MARS project has landed on Rodrigues Island, an outer island that forms part of Mauritius. The MARS project is the first submarine cable system to connect the islands of Mauritius and Rodrigues.
