Facebook and Instagram may be shut down across Europe, parent company Meta has said. The issue comes down to European data regulations that prevent Meta, the company formerly known as Facebook, from transferring, storing and processing Europeans’ data on US-based servers.

In Liberia, the House of Representatives is considering a bill that would amend certain provisions of the 2007 telecommunications law. Submitted by Liberian president George Weah, the bill aims to amend the management of the national telecom operator, the Liberia Telecommunications Corporation (LTC), formerly Libtelco, and ensure its smooth and proper functioning.

OneWeb, the low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications company, confirmed its successful deployment of 36 satellites by Arianespace from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. This latest launch, the Company’s twelfth overall and ninth since December 2020, brings OneWeb’s total in-orbit constellation to 394 satellites. This represents over 60 percent of OneWeb’s planned 648 LEO satellite fleet that will deliver high-speed, low-latency global connectivity.
