Kenya Airways has entered a strategic partnership with Safaricom to drive innovations aimed at improving the airline's operational efficiency, bolstering cybersecurity, and enhancing the customer experience.

The collaboration between Kenya Airways and Safaricom will focus on improving connectivity, in-flight Wi-Fi, infrastructure inspection, security surveillance, loyalty programs, data science, software development, and aviation innovation in sectors like agriculture.

By combining our expertise, we are addressing today's challenges and paving the way for sustainable growth, enhanced connectivity, and transformative innovations that will benefit our customers and communities for years to come," said Fredrick Kitunga, Chief Information and Data Officer at Kenya Airways.

The partnership will also involve developing and implementing Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for warehousing, baggage tracking, aircraft materials, and Unit Load Device (ULD) management, covering tracking, location, reconciliation, and stock taking.
