Vodacom Financial and Digital Lifestyle Services has partnered with Bidvest Bank to power the VodaPay Wallet. This collaboration enables millions of South African consumers to conduct transactions within VodaPay, a platform facilitating the transfer of money into digital wallets. The VodaPay Wallet allows users to deposit funds without incurring charges, send money, make purchases at retailers, order food and settle bills or traffic fines, all seamlessly integrated within the super app. Transactions with VodaPay occur instantly. Mariam Cassim, CEO of Vodacom Financial and Digital Lifestyle Services, emphasizes the significance of VodaPay in advancing financial inclusion and highlights the mobile wallet, powered by Bidvest Bank, as a cornerstone of their digital and financial inclusion strategy.

Vodacom elaborates on the Deposit Money feature of VodaPay, providing customers with a convenient solution for cash deposits into their VodaPay Wallets through an extensive network of stores nationwide. These outlets encompass Vodacom stores and selected national retailers, including Pick n Pay, Pick n Pay Express, Boxer, PEP, Ackermans, Makro, Rhino Cash & Carry, Game, Builders Warehouse and Cambridge Food.

Moreover, users can deposit money into their VodaPay Wallet at spaza shops through Kazang merchants. Additionally, VodaPay users have the capability to send money from their wallets to any recipient within the country, allowing them to choose the cash-out location and specify the desired amount via the app's Send Money option. Vodacom highlights that since the commercial launch of VodaPay in 2021, it has garnered a user base exceeding 3.3 million registered users, with over 5.7 million downloads recorded.
